Overview:
Add custom lines to the graph to see where your data falls in relation to your goals.
Getting started: Graphing features are available in both Search & browse and My reports.
From Search & browse, either select the Graphing tab next to the Filters tab, or begin a new search and select the option to Show graph next to the Save as a report button.
From My reports either select the Graphing tab or open a saved report in My reports list.

Add custom lines to the graph:
When you're graphing data using a Grouped bar or Line graph, you can now specify a line with a custom label and value on your graph.
Let's say, for example, you're a floor supervisor of a call center and you have a fourth-quarter goal that 50% of new member inquiries become new memberships by the end of the year.
- Within the Graphing panel, select the More actions ( ••• ) button to the right of the Vertical axis. Then select the Add custom line option in the drop-down menu.
Note: You can create as many custom lines on a single graph or report as you need. But, keep in mind that too many custom lines on one graph can detract from the focused, goal-oriented view that custom lines give your graph. - In the Create new custom line pop-up, enter the label (e.g., Q4 Goal: New Members) that you want to give your goal on the graph and select Create:
- Below your vertical axis you'll see additional options appear that allow you to:
a) Rename or Remove your custom line and label.
b) Enter a Value where you'd like your custom line to represent.
Tip: Keep your custom line labels brief and succinct so they can be easily read. Goals should also be challenging, yet attainable, so make sure goals are SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant (reasonable, realistic, resourced and results-focused), and Time-bound.
- As shown above, when you hover over the data in your graph, you'll see your data in relation to the custom goal line you set. You can also hover over the goal line itself or the goal line text in your legend to view its label and value.
Note: The custom goal line you create will be saved when you save your graph as a report and open it later. Custom line values don't appear in the CSV download of your graph or report.
